What is "Notebook BatteryInfo"? Notebook BatteryInfo is a meaningful display of the mobile computer battery charging capacity. By default Windows has only a small battery icon in the Taskbar as capacity display. This display in not very good. The symbol in the Taskbar shows only the rough estimate of the remaining battery capacity. If more exact information are needed the mouse must hovered over the battery symbol to show a tooltip with the exact remaining capacity. There are a lot of free Tools available which display a battery icon with the remaining capacity below the icon, but unfortunately the icon is not always at the same postition in the Taskbar, a lot of Applications place an icon in the Taskbar. Notebook BatteryInfo went an other way and displays a meaningful battery capacity display right beside the Taskbar icons: Notebook BatteryInfo works with Windows XP with enabled XP Style or without it. The display of the remaining capacity is always at the same position, so more searching again for this information. The display shows also if the mobile computer is currently in AC mode or DC mode. As secondary result it is now possible to configure the Windows XP Taskbar icons dispaly the important icons. Notebook BatteryInfo is able to display the internal values of the Notebook battery. It is easy to find out the battery wear or the max. usable capacity of the battery. Requirements of "Notebook BatteryInfo" Notebook BatteryInfo works only with Windows 2000, Windows XP Home and Windows XP Professional. Other systems (Windows 9x/ME and Windows NT 4.0) are not supported. My last Windows 98 / Windows NT 4.0 system was retired end of 2004. So I do not have any test system. For this reason Notebook BatteryInfo will reject the start on this systems. There will not be a support for this systems in the future, even if Notebook BatteryInfo would work with this systems.
