Проблем с инсталация на nVidia драйвер на Лубунту

Веднъж бях повдигал въпроса, но в руга тема и така и не се оправиха нещата.

Докато инсталирам драйвера на nvidia на моето Лубунту 16.04, се появява следнта грешка в терминала:

Като накрая за инсталиране като стигнеш до това
sudo apt-get install nvidia-370

съответно пишеш вместо тези цифри последния драйвер, който е наличен.

И ми изписва command not found. Разбира се, пиша моя път до файла

./ изпълнява програмата в текущата директория

Тоест не можеш да напишеш

./home/downloads/nvidia.run --extract...

Трябва да влезеш в директорията, където е run файлът с cd:

cd /home/download

и тогава.

./nvidia.run. ...

Нищо лично, но аз съм мързелив и бих ползвал хранилище вместо да се мъча.

А пък 304-ката и аз я ползвах на старата машина, през мениджъра за драйвъри, а него все още го има.

Да разкажа накратко - нищо не помогна да инсталирам драйвера. Снощи преинсталирах като сложих Лубунту 16.04.4, защото него имам на флашка. Преди да направя каквото и да е друго, избрах драйвера на нВидиа и нещата се получиха от раз.

Последва ъпгрейд до 16.04.5, като там нещата с драйвера пак се омазаха.

След това надградих до 18.04. Надграждането изтри драйвера на нВидиа и сега използвам този, който си е на линукс. При 18.04 даже не ми показва драйвер на нВидиа в "Допълнителни драйвери".

Впрочем възможно ли е мазалото да става, защото при инсталация на Лубунту, избирам noapic? Ако не го избера, не ми дава да инсталирам операционната система. (Впрочем преди година инсталирах същото лубунту на същия комп и не ми искаше noapic)

Личен стар опит с nvidia-304 (последната, най-нова версия която можеше да носи компа ми)- пропуснал съм много от версиите на Убунту (ей така, за проба, дали ще ми вървят, иначе си кютах с ЛТС една версия назад от настоящия ЛТС), защото не бях достатъчно "инат да уцеля" подходящите параметри за зареждане, последно 15.10 вървеше "на пушка", 16.04 - да, ама като марсоход. Задоволявах се с пускане с nomodeset (те, това видях и че във викито на Убунту го препоръчват потсфактум) и инсталиране на драйвъра.

Не разбирам стремежа ти "да летиш" . Подновяваш хардуера и ще ти тръгва (почти) всяко актуално дистро винаги и "от въздуха", "без гимнастики".

А, да, надграждане на версия на ОС със проблемен затворен драйвър е много разумно решение.
