Any hip hop heads know who Rich Porter, Alpo and AZ. The movie tells their story subiting the names for Mitch, Rico and Ace. The film is told through the eyes of Ace played with great vigor by rising talent Wood Harris. Ace see his boy Mitch (Pfeifer) in a great performance living the high drug life. After Mitch gets locked up Ace decides to take over but he isn't your average dealer he's cool and laid back. While in prison Mitch meets Rico (Cam'ron in a breakthough debut) a hot head who decides he wants someone of the action. On the streets the trio run thangs but greed and betrayal thretan everything and the film has some shocking twists that are hard to believe. The eighties slang, clothes and life are portyaed very well. Producers Jay-Z,Dame Dash ( who shows up in a cameo) and Brett Ratner did their research to make the film look true to life. Regina Hall,Chi McBride go good supporting performances and the direction by Charles Stone III is impressive as is the script. I give it **** out ****.

This Wayans Brothers comedy stars Marlon Wayans as a tiny, baby-faced jewelry thief who poses as an abandoned infant in order to retrieve his stolen bling.

So just how far has onetime Oscar-nominee Chazz Palminteri's career fallen?

It hits a new low as he picks up a paycheque playing yet another mobster in the latest low-brow Wayans Brothers comedy, Little Man.

Palminteri's bit role features him as a gangster who's hired the recently paroled, two-and-a-half-feet-tall Calvin "Baby Face" Sims, (Marlon Wayans) and his wannabe-rapper partner Percy P (Tracy Morgan) to steal the uber-large Queen's Diamond.

The unlikely duo make off with the rock, but it ends up in the purse of an unsuspecting woman (Kerry Washington) and her fiance (Shawn Wayans).

Naturally, the thieves come up with the ludicrous idea of having Calvin pose as an abandoned baby in order to get into the couple's house to retrieve the bling.

Mainly outrageous situations follow -- duh -- with the emphasis on sexual and bathroom humour and slapstick comedy.

There are appearances by comedians from the In Living Color, Saturday Night Live and MAD-TV stables, including David Alan Grier, Alex Borstein, Molly Shannon and Rob Schneider.

But if Little Man is ever funny, it's mainly due to Marlon's crazy facial expressions and the visuals of him in various baby ensembles -- why do people dress their children this way? -- or restraining devices like a crib, baby chair and Jolly Jumper.

It should be pointed out that Marlon had to perform mostly alone on a green screen stage with the six-foot-two actor's face superimposed on child actor Linden Porco's body.

John Witherspoon is Washington's live-in father who is immediately suspicious of the new addition to the family.

White Chicks, the previous feature written by brothers Marlon, Shawn and director Keenen, featured Marlon and Shawn as two undercover FBI agents posing as white women at college.

But the situations get even stranger in Little Man and more sordid with Calvin involved in all sorts of sexual hijinks with his would-be mother and the sexy next door neighbour (Brittany Daniel). There are also some child abuse scenes that would make most parents uncomfortable.

Add plenty of fart and poo jokes, groin punches, and car chases, and Little Man comes up short.

Three 6 Mafia - Choices

Choices the movie & soundtrack were just what I expected it to be and that's 100% real! They really represented & put it down for NORTH Memphis foe' show! I hate that they got killed at the end but, I guess that I'll just have to look forward to Choices 2! so that's why I feel that this is an Incredible movie without question! Three 6 Mafia have done it again. They've taken white gold and turned it into platinum so to speak. This is a great film, with a well-thought out plot, and good scenery (nothing was put in the movie just to look good, they had to make it look like the scene was worth Bill Gate's bank account ya' heard me). Project Pat probably did the best acting job in the whole movie, you kinda forget that it's Project Pat as the movie goes on. Also, you can tell that this was a low budget film and didn't have the best sound quality in some dialog scenes, but luckily the Choices crew weren't taken as fools 'cause usually in other low budget flicks those kinds of things are overlooked and ruin the whole movie. The people who worked on this film did a good job and put their money where their mouths were. I recommend this movie to anybody who isn't offended by sex, drugs, and violence and likes a good and twisting plot.

Three 6 Mafia - Choices II: The Set Up

Three 6 Mafia have done it again. Choices 2 is a great album. It's as solid as the other recent HCP releases, such as Lil Wyte's 'Phinally Phamous,' which is superb. This album has 14 new tracks, and 6 remixes/old songs. Although it is not their best (that title belongs to Chapter 2: World Domination), Juicy J and DJ Paul show not only the south, but the whole US that they are indeed top notch rappers. The best songs on here are 'Who I Is'(feat. Trillville and Lil Wyte) and 'Who the F*** You Playin Wit'? The worst are, obviously, the filler tracks such as the intro and skits. The bonus songs are good, not superb, but solid. The Bottom Line: If you want to listen to the best rap group around that's still going strong, pick up Choices II, and listen to the album and watch the decent DVD while you're at it. After all, it's better then anything DMX has put out.

Как би изглеждала трагедията през очите на неколцина затрупани полицаи?

Режисьорът Оливър Стоун (“Александър”) ни представя един нов прочит на атентатите от 11-и септември. Вместо мащабната и всеобхватна гледна точка, възприета в “Полет 93”, тук можем да видим събитията през погледа на двама обикновени нюйоркски полицаи и техните семейства.

Началото на филма е силно и доста емоционално. Не можем да не затаим дъх при вида на микробуса, пълен с полицейски служители, минаващ сред тълпа от изплашени от ужаса хора, някои от които оцапани с кръв. Напрежението се засилва още повече когато отрядът, воден от Никълъс Кейдж, навлиза в тресящата се и горяща сграда. Съзнавайки всички рискове, те тръгват напред и нагоре към неизвестността, към горящите етажи на сградите, където все още има много хора за евакуиране. Те бавно пристъпват към една страховита преизподня, от която сякаш няма път назад.

Изневиделица групата от трима-четирима полицаи се озовава затрупана сред обломки от срутилите се кули. Колкото и драматична да е тази ситуация, те остават сред руините почти до края на филма и през един дълъг период от време ще се намираме заедно с тях в почти пълен мрак, в клаустрофбичната и депресираща обстановка на нещо като малка ниша, която се е образувала при падането на огромните късове бетон.

Колкото и емоционално и въздействащо да е всичко това, в определен момент ми се приисква да превъртя филма напред и да видя няма ли да покажат и нещо друго. Това се случва, но не много скоро, не и преди самият аз да почувствам силна нужда да изляза. Да се измъкна оттам. Доста трогателно е показана реакцията на семействата на Джон Маклоклин ( Никълъс Кейдж) и Уилям Химено (Майкъл Пеня), докато все още не се знае дали двамата са оцелели.

Проблемът на този филм е, че е труден за гледане. Може би вината е донякъде в навика да превключваме вниманието си буквално на всеки 15 мин. “Световният Търговски център” няма да ви предложи добрата стара гонитба между “лошия” и “добрия” по въздух, земя и вода. Всичко е застинало, всичко е спряло в този техен малък свят долу под земята.

След като ви описах накратко филма, съм сигурен, че ще се намерят и хора със съответна нагласа да отидат и да видят този нов филм по киносалоните.

Бележка относно рейтинга на филма - В САЩ този филм е оценен като PG-13 (Parental Guide), но аз не бих го препоръчал на хора със слаби нерви в която и да е възраст.

Огромна Благодарност

Ще го гледам само от уважение към Никалъс Кейдж и може би, защото идеята тази трагедия да се представи през погледа на двама обикновени полицаи ми допадна. В първия момент като чух Оливър Стоун и сякаш ме захапа черна мамба, един от режисьорите, които са ми най-противни. Надявам се поне този път да се е справил прилично, имайки в предвид хубавия сценарии и добрия актьорски състав.
